Strength Through Healing and Helping
These scenes all centred on the idea that with the help of others, women/transwomen are able to find strength to deal with their lives. It shows how important it is to connect with others who understand you. Many women/transwomen who have experienced immigrating to Canada took part in creating these scenes. The backdrop is a beautiful park, depicting a peaceful, serene place with a path and a bench (see “Strength and Healing through Helping” poster created for dissemination).
